I have heard a lot that Onion is good for hair, so decided to try some onion extract for my Hair. It’s difficult for an office goer to crush onion and apply its juices on the hair due to time constraints, so ready to use products are always the best option. So, I just made internet research and came across Oriental Botanics Red Onion Hair Growth Shampoo.
Usually, I don’t use shampoo much but I thought of trying it. Also, I love to review products that I use, so this was one of the reasons. Now let me explain to you regarding this onion shampoo.
Look and Feel of the Onion Shampoo
This red onion shampoo from Oriental Botanics comes in a 200 gm plastic bottle, which looks like the color of Onion. If you see the image, you can easily understand the color of the liquid is not reddish. The shampoo feels quite lite to touch.
How to Use
In my review of Oriental Botanics Red Onion Hair Growth Shampoo, I want to add that this onion shampoo can be used like any other shampoo. The process remains the same. Just massage into the roots of your wet hair and rinse.
Although I am mentioning the ingredients here, as a layman, it won’t matter much to you as all of us are concerned with the results. Just take a look and the ingredients of the Onion Shampoo as mentioned by Oriental Botanics in the bottle.
Purified Water, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Neem Leaf Extract, Boerhavia Musa Root Extract, Haritaki Extract, Nardostachys Jatamansi Root Extract, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Red Onion and Cold Pressed Oil.
It also has D Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Caffeine Coffee Extract, Amla Extract, Collagen Powder, Biotin, Hibiscus Rosa Extract, Organic Moroccan Argan Oil, Golden Virgin Jojoba Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Hydrolyzed Silk Protein, Vitamin E, Curry Leaf Extract, Aloe Vera Extract.
Other ingredients include Oats Kernel Extract, Gotu Kola Extract, Green Tea Extract, Alkanet Root (Ratan jot) Extract, Brahmi Extract, Rosemary Oil, Manjistha Extract, and Fenugreek Extract.
Benefits of Using
Every brand makes some promises or assures some benefits. Same goes with Oriental Botanics, which also promises some benefits of using the Onion Shampoo.
It says the shampoo is capable of controlling moisture balance in the hair, which is the result of its ingredients such as Rosemary Oil, Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Morrocan Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Red Onion Oil.
I will not comment on these technicalities but yes, after using it I felt my hair has turned smooth and soft. Taking about hair growth, I think it will be too early to comment as I have used it for a month. Maybe I can edit this review after a few months when I get some hair growth.
Coming to the Price of Red Onion Shampoo by Oriental Botanics, I feel it slightly on the upper side. You need to shed around INR 699 to get a 300ml bottle. But there are many e-commerce websites from which you can get a discount.
Currently, I spotted this oil on Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra and few more e-commerce websites. Just keep comparing the prices to get the best deal. This is what I say for all of my product reviews.
Coming to the brand value, I can say that recently I see the name flooding eCommerce stores with its range of herbal products. Franky, I have not heard the name earlier but on making an internet search I spotted this onion Shampoo.
Maybe the brand is strong on its own and I have been relying on the traditional Shampoo brands all these years so never searched for any Onion Shampoo earlier.
I see Vedic Cosmeceuticals as the manufacturer of this product. No other information, I got about the brand. You can do a self-check on its official website http://www.orientalbotanics.in
So after the review of Oriental Botanics Red Onion Hair Growth Shampoo, I come to the conclusion that this onion shampoo is OK for my hair. No damage I see till date on my hair. As mentioned, may rough hair has softened a bit, which feels good.
My ratings for this product will be ⅘ comparing all parameters. So, if you are interested to buy this Onion Shampoo, you can do it from Amazon through the link provided.
